Guidelines for Bancassurance – 2010 SECP has issued Guidelines for Bancassurance vide its Circular 5/2010. The Guidelines are applicable to all new Bancassurance agreements of the Life and Non-life Insureres as well as General and Family Takaful Operators, effective from February 1, 2010. For Life Insurance & Family Takaful Operators sections 7, 8 and 9 of the Guidelines will apply within the framework of Circular 6 of 2006 dated April 28, 2006, titled “Maximum Management Limits for Life Insurers under S.22(9) & S.23(9) of the Insurance Ordinance 2000”
